History
Criterion’s principals benefit from over 70 years of collective multifamily industry experience. While working together for over 8 years at JPI Partners, Inc., a nationally recognized multifamily development firm, Criterion’s principals developed 43 apartment communities with total development costs exceeding $1.6 billion.
In 2004, the principals formed Criterion Development Partners with the intention of creating a more horizontal, hands-on organizational structure to better leverage the team’s strengths and allow its principals to be intimately involved in all aspects of each deal. Criterion’s focus on attention to detail, tight execution, design excellence and strategic vision has led to superior results for our customers and partners. In fact, our name memorializes this emphasis as Criterion is defined as “the standard by which one is judged”. With regional offices in Dallas, Texas and Wellesley, Massachusetts, Criterion has developed 25 multifamily communities to date with total development costs exceeding $1.42 billion.
